I cannot overstate how big an impact Paul Sunderland has on the success of these broadcasts, and this league. If he had, to, he could go non-stop, SOLO, calling a game for 2 1/2 hrs straight. SO knowledgable, SO sharp and quick on his feet, SO eloquent, SUCH a pleasant voice and energy, GREAT sense of humor and wit... He and Chris Marlowe are the forefathers of volleyball anouncing, the LEGENDS. Viewers/listeners are getting EDUCATED on how to watch/think-about/understand volleyball. Few other announcers can be so accurate and clear about what a 'bad play' is and what a 'good play' is... and he's not afraid to call both out -- it's really helpful for the avg/new viewer have such a knowlegable guide.

After watching the USA Women's team play in Paris, and then these PVF matches? I've gotta say... the future looks bright for Team USA, and for the sport of volleyball in America in general. Look, no disprespect, but watching the National Team play for the past x-number of years has been... boring? frustrating? This combination of top-tier veterans from around the world, and the very best young talent America has to offer... I think CEO Spiker and her marketing team, and everyone involved, have done a brilliant job in re-inventing and re-imagining the volleyball experience. The raw talent that's out there, particularly the 'undersized' players like Chaussee, and Nuneviller, and Member-Meneh, and Briggs, and on and on, right? LOVE to see the 'little girls' out-pound the big-girls~~ Sunderland had it right when he said that if Chaussee were 6'2 or 6'3, she'd be on the National team in Paris. But I think will 100% make the team very soon. Gabi is, what, 5'11"? Too many other names to mention, so much talent... great job PVF~!! Straight to the moon~!!!

1:32:43 I don't understand what the heck happened at the end of the game, where Caffey hurriedly serves the ball straight into the net? That first whistle you hear, while the camera is still on the Supernova's team... that COULDN'T have been the whistle for the server to serve, right? I mean, players look like they were still moving to get to their positions. So, why did Caffey feel like she needed to serve the ball so quickly? Did the referee indicate to her that she needed to go back and serve the ball? (It did appear that the ref made that motion). But regardless, that effort by Caffey was... ugh.

If there are any stoners out there, try watching this match at 0.5 speed (half). It's trippy, AND you notice all kinds of extra things, not only in the foreground, but the background, and the sound is trippy too! Try like around 1:26:40. And, dang, 1:31:14 on is like a Sports Illustrated model photo-shoot (at half-speed).

Briggs is so impressive. 5'10"? Another 'little girl' who can outplay the 'big girls'... seems to be the theme here. I love it. She can really crank on that ball.

24:16 This is one of the better facials u'll see in volleyball. She took it like a champ 👍👍🤣

1:59:01 Great rear-camera view.. Look at how fast Chaussee unloads this cannon. To me, it looked like there wasn't enough space between the blockers... her speed is so sick. I've seen players like this before in real life... blockers are simiply LATE getting up because they're not used to someone getting up and on the ball so blazingly fast.

1:40:03 When Nuneviller hit that nice shot down the line, into the deep corner, I think Chaussee really DID think in her mind... oh yeah? I can do that too, but BETTER! Lolz, it was a bit better, I think.. she came flying in, her torso was turning towards the court, but she does this no-look, cross-body hook shot, get's good wood on it (listen to that sound, such a sharp thud), and AS SOON AS SHE LANDS, she walks-off like, alright, I'm done with that... next. Can u say 'style' and 'grace'?

1:34:12 Man, this impressive spike by Chaussee was just a thing of beauty. Check it out in slo-mo. She literally looks like a ballerina, so smooth, with PERFECT technique, and so much speed and power at the same time. I love the way she kicks both her legs back a bit right after leaving the floor, then just ELEVATES, and then HANGS there, and then this super-quick armswing, power + control, beautiful and graceful 1-foot landing... geezus. I used to study and try to emulate VHS recordings of Karch Kiraly, Steve Timmons, Ctvrtlk back in the 80's, truly dissecting EVERY body position, arm/hand position, etc... and Chaussee is just SO technically and artistically perfect. Luv the long approach too, that's how I do it yo~~ start from WAY back, HAHA. Anyways, incredible player and abilities -- very similar a story as Nunneviller (both under-sized former liberos with AMAZING all-around skills).

I recognize that sweet voice anywhere -- the GREAT Paul Sunderland calling this match!! It's like music to my ears when he and/or Chris Marlowe are calling a volleyball match. Watching the VNL's was TORTURE, listening to those British or Aussie announcers. None of them even KNOW the game, let alone know how to TALK about it, and they keep getting players' names wrong. TY Paul for being the vb announcing LEGEND that u are~!

I chanced on this and loved every bit of it. This Omaha crowd is awesome. Hopefully the league has come to stay and gets more teams. Way to go!

This and women's softball are way way more exciting than women's basketball games. In my opinion.

Wow I didn’t even know there was a professional women’s volleyball league. Women’s volleyball is “da shizzz”. I love sports and I love women. And lots of action with volleyball. It’s dynamic. It’s strategic. Feminine uniforms👍. Really getting into it.

I was in attendance that night, and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a sporting event.

Maybe next season, broadcast the finals in the place you broadcast the entire season. I get you want a wider audience. But you could have done both. Lots of us outside the U.S. wanted to watch live.

Thrill was a force to be reckoned with but the Nova's just have that team dynamic. Also, watching Tori play, she can do anything. Exceptional! Nova fan 4 life!!

Would recommend that the male announcer study the rosters ahead of time. Don’t know how many times I heard “Taylor Raskie” and lots of talk about Karson Bacon when he either meant Morgan Lewis or Ronika Stone.

Too bad Grand Rapids didn't play like this in the Championship game.
